To Merzouga via Dessert and Sahara Camel Ride from Marrakech
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Todra Gorges
- Depart from Marrakech on a private tour.
- Cross the High Atlas Mountains and reach the Tizi N'Tichka’s pass with 2260 m high.
- Travel next to Ouarzazate city, visit the Kasbah Taourirt and Film Studios.
- Continue to travel to Dades Gorges, arrive at Todra Gorges have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga Dessert
- Morning depart and start to Merzouga Dessert.
- Then, get to Todra Gorges visit it by walking tour around.
- Continue through Tinejdad, Erfoud then have lunch at Rissani.
- Visit Alaouit's first King Tomb ( Current Moroccan Royal Family ).
- Arrive at Merzouga Dessert where you can enjoy camel ride observing the sunset over behind dunes. Night stay at nomadic private tent.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Nomads Families - Khamlia Village - Erg Chebbi
- This is a complete desert day. If you are In the middle of the desert, its worth getting up early to view the most spectacular sunrise that you have ever seen at the top of a dune close to the camp.
- After sunrise we return to Merzouga on the camels, to have breakfast.
- Then we will travel to Erg Chebbi, great extension of sandy desert where we can find the big dune of Morocco. (which has more than 250 meters high)
- Next ,we will reach Khamlia Village by road, where we will have our tea break and get a chance to listen to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa.
- Dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel or at the nomadic private tent again.
Day 4: Merzouga Dessert - Ziz Valley - Cedar forests and Monkey Troupes - Fes City
- After having breakfast we start to the north through Tafilalt palm grove, the biggest palm oasis in Morocco.
- You will be able to see thousands of palm trees along of 20 km which will lead us to Ziz valley.
- We will halt at Midelt, to have lunch and take rest. In the afternoon we continue our way through the Cedar forests, where; if we are lucky, we will meet some Atlas monkeys.
- Next place we will visit Ifran city, situated in the northwestern slope of the middle Atlas mountains at 1630 meters above the water level. Its also called as “Moroccan Switzerland” as urban development with perfect cleanness, the green areas and its architecture make this city looks like a Swiss town.
- Around 6 pm we arrive at Fes city, transfer to your hotel.
